Capel is run entirely by volunteers. An hour or two here and there makes a real difference, and you don't need to play cricket to help.
Ways to help
Find something that suits you
Scoring and live stream
Keep the scorebook or run the scoring app on match days, or set up the live stream for away games. It's what feeds the scores and video on this website.
Umpiring
Stand in a game for one of our sides, whether that's the odd match or a regular spot.
Match teas
Help make or serve the teas that keep both teams going on match days. See them on Instagram at Cricket Teas R Us.
Ground and pavilion
Give the groundsman a hand with the square and outfield, or help with jobs around the pavilion.
Bar and events
Help behind the bar, or with social events, fundraisers and presentation evenings.
Colts and coaching
Help at junior training alongside our coaches. We'll talk you through the safeguarding checks first.
