Junior Teams

The junior section at Capel Cricket Club is a massive part of the club and something we’re really proud of. We’ve built a strong pathway for young players to come in, learn the game properly, and enjoy their cricket in a supportive environment.

We currently run five junior teams — Under 7s, Under 9s, Under 11s, Under 13s and Under 14s — giving young players the chance to develop at every stage. From first introductions to cricket through to competitive junior matches, the focus is always on fun, improvement and confidence.

One of the biggest positives is seeing juniors progress into senior cricket. A large number of our current senior players — including those now winning leagues and competing strongly across multiple competitions — came through the Capel youth system. That pathway from junior cricket into successful senior teams is something the club takes real pride in.

We’re always encouraging new youngsters to come along and get involved. Whether they’re completely new to cricket or have played before, everyone is welcome. If you’re interested, get in touch with the club and come down to a session — the more the merrier.
